This is the Only Sea Creature Scares Me,
And NO, It's Not a Shark

Sharks are just big overgrown marine creatures like horses on land. Moray eels are blind idiots, and rays are just like puppy dogs.
Most marine animals are harmless and peaceful and just don't attack humans. Especially sharks. I love sharks. They're the best. Yes they're big, and yes they have killed a few people, but nowhere near as many people as dogs, or horses, or even cows have killed. Yup, that's right! A freaking cow is statistically more dangerous than a shark.
But the one marine creature that is deadlier than death—that no one seems to talk about is the JELLYFISH.
While somewhat beautiful (or at least mesmerizing) to look at, these creatures are dangerous as sin.
Basically all jellyfish have some level of poison in their bodies and tentacles. And in some cases, the poison/venom that they carry is strong enough to KILL YOU within minutes.
And you know what? Jellyfish don't have brains. They're just pre-programmed to sting you with their microscopic needle-like stingers and inject you automatically with death (or pain) inducing venom. It's what they do. Jellyfish will tear you up!
And here's the big problem with jellyfish—many of them are small and transparent so you can't see them in the water even tough there could be dozens of them all around you (especially the little ones).
And some of the larger jellyfish have long transparent tentacles that can be 10 - 15 feet long or more. So you might think you are far enough away from a jellyfish to be safe, all the while you are wrapped in its transparent tentacles and its injecting you with poison!
These are scary creatures. So what is Kimo's rule for seeing jellyfish on a dive? Stay away! Stay far away. Don't touch them. Don't get close to them. Move away.
And please, cover up your body! Even if you're only wearing a diveskin in warm waters, it is just not smart to have your skin exposed. Trust me—I've been hit by jellyfish before, as have many of my diver friends. It sucks.
So cover up your body, and stay away from those jellies! They will kill you!
